Ophthalmologist - Associate-to-Owner Opportunity

Established boutique comprehensive ophthalmology practice seeks an ophthalmologist to join as an associate with intent to purchase the practice. The owner will provide clinical and business mentorship during a defined transition.

The practice focuses on cataract surgery, comprehensive ophthalmology, YAG capsulotomies, and SLT laser procedures.  Excellent referral network and excellent local reputation.  Low overhead practice gives you the flexibility to work a part time schedule like owner (3 clinic days/week) or you can grow the practice as you wish.  High demand for ophthalmic services.  Ability to increase scope of practice beyond what is currently done in office.  Owner can help a new associate learn the nuts and bolts of running a practice, information not taught in medical training.  Then you will maintain autonomy to practice as you wish now and in the future.  Owner area of expertise is ophthalmology first, but also understands how to manage patient expectations and patient experience while running an efficient clinic.  This has helped owner balance quality family time and financial success while enjoying professional autonomy.  Many practice patients are fiercely loyal with established relationships of one to two decades.  Maintaining continuity of care is a priority throughout the transition. Maintaining an excellent work environment for the current staff is also a priority.

The ideal candidate has been employed in private practice or private equity and is ready to pursue ownership.  Will consider current ophthalmology residents or fellows.
